Bio

Dr. (CA.) Diya Mukherjee is a finance and accountancy academic with more than 14 years of teaching experience and a prior professional career in audit, assurance, internal controls, risk assessment and investment-fund financial reporting. She has served as an Assistant Professor at Amity Global Business School, Mumbai and other colleges. Her academic profile combines a PhD in Business Policy and Administration, M.Phil. in Accountancy, Chartered Accountancy, UGC-NET, MH-SET and M.Com (Accountancy) Before entering full-time higher education, she has 6+ years of corporate experience and has worked with Price Waterhouse, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, ACC Limited and HSBC Securities Services. This industry background informs her applied teaching in financial reporting, accounting, audit, risk, controls and management decision-making. Her research and publication themes include financial literacy, retirement and investment planning, digital/web-based financial information, e-commerce, financial technology and applications of artificial intelligence to finance and marketing strategy. She has also contributed to academic administration through curriculum and Board of Studies work, postgraduate project guidance, examination and paper-setting duties, NAAC activities, and ISO 9001:2015 surveillance and recertification processes.
