1982 - Foundation Of The N. L. Dalmia Educational Society

The establishment of the N. L. Dalmia Educational Society marked the beginning of its journey in shaping the educational landscape through its academic initiatives and institutions.

1995 - Expanding Into Management Education

NLDIMSR was established as a step towards strengthening the Society’s vision for quality management education.

1997 - AICTE-Approved Programs Introduced

This year marked an important expansion in the Institute’s academic offerings, strengthening its foundation in management education through recognised full-time and part-time programs.

1999 - Growing The MMS Academic Offering

The increase in seats reflected the Institute’s continued expansion in management education offerings.

2001 - MMS Seats Increased To Support Growing Demand

The enhanced intake capacity marked another step in widening access to management education.

2003 - Introduction Of The Full-Time PGDBM Program

The commencement of the two-year full-time PGDBM program marked a further expansion of the Institute’s management education offerings.

2004 - Enhanced Intake For The PGDBM Program

The revised seat capacity marked another milestone in the development of the full-time PGDBM program.

2005 - Beginning Of The Institute’s Doctoral Journey

Affiliated with the University of Mumbai, the Ph.D. program marked the Institute’s growing focus on research and advanced academic study.

2006 - Launch Of University-Affiliated Part-Time Programs

The introduction of MFM, MMM and MHRDM added University of Mumbai-affiliated part-time programs, each with an intake capacity of 60 seats.

2007 - Strengthening Part-Time Program Capacity

The enhanced intake for MFM and MMM marked the continued development of the Institute’s part-time academic offerings.

2012 - Recognition Through Permanent Affiliation

The permanent affiliation from the University of Mumbai marked an important step in NLDIMSR’s academic recognition.

2015 - Launch Of The Bloomberg Finance Lab

NLDIMSR brought Mumbai’s first and South Asia’s largest standalone Bloomberg Finance Lab with 12 terminals to its campus, marking a significant step towards giving students access to experiential finance learning.

2016 - Achieving ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The certification reflected the Institute’s commitment towards maintaining quality standards across its academic and administrative processes.

2017 - Recognition Through NAAC Accreditation

NLDIMSR was accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC, marking an important milestone in the Institute’s academic journey.

2018 - Strengthening Institutional Recognition

The Institute received multiple recognitions across academic quality, institutional standards and business school evaluation frameworks. for PGDM Program valid from 19-10-2018 to 18-10-2019

2020 - Advancing Finance-Focused Management Education

The launch of the PGDM Finance program reflected the Institute’s growing focus on specialised finance learning.

2021 - Increased Intake For The PGDM Program

The revised intake capacity marked another step in the expansion of the Institute’s PGDM offering.

2022 - A Defining Year Of Recognition And Expansion

NLDIMSR recorded significant developments across accreditations, program approvals, Bloomberg learning resources, academic memberships and institutional certifications.

2023 - Strengthening Accreditation And Academic Recognition

A year marked by recognised accreditations, AIU equivalence, online learning approval and increased PGDM intake capacity.

2024 - Expanding Into Executive Management Education

The AICTE-approved PGDM for Working Professionals marked a dedicated step towards management education for professionals balancing career and academic growth.

2025 - NBA Accreditation Developments Across PGDM Programs

The year reflected important accreditation updates for the Institute’s PGDM and PGDM Finance programs.

2026 - AACSB iSER Submission

NLDIMSR submitted its Initial Self Evaluation Report (iSER) to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), marking a step towards the international accreditation process.

Shri Niranjanlal Dalmia – Founder, Visionary, Guiding Light

In 1982, the Late Shri Niranjanlal Dalmia laid the foundation of the N. L. Dalmia Educational Society with a vision far beyond brick and mortar-to create an institution that would nurture ethical, globally competent business leaders. Deeply rooted in his values of integrity, knowledge and social progress, N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research began its academic journey in 1995. Today, it stands among India’s top B-schools - a living testament to his legacy of purposeful education.
