Imran Siddiqui is an HR professional by choice, with a career marked by diverse and enriching experiences across both corporate and academic landscapes. He began his professional journey in the corporate sector, where he had the privilege to work in varied industries such as real estate, telecom, manufacturing, and shipping. In these roles, he handled the HR generalist profile, gaining a broad-based understanding of human resource management across different organizational contexts. After accumulating substantial corporate experience, Imran made a conscious and passionate shift into the field of management education—an area he had always aspired to contribute to. As a full-time HR faculty member, he not only managed academic responsibilities but also brought real-world perspectives into the classroom, fostering a two-way learning environment with his students. His professional path further evolved as he ventured into HR and Organizational Development consulting for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), allowing him to apply his knowledge in transformative and strategic ways. Currently, Imran continues his journey as an HR and OD Consultant while also serving as a part-time HR faculty—balancing his professional expertise with his enduring passion for teaching and mentoring future HR professionals. He is currently pursuing a PhD in the area of Industrial Relations in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), with a focus on the evolving role of trade unions and their impact on organizational effectiveness. His research aims to bridge academic inquiry with practical relevance in the Indian public sector context.
