Students’ Participation in Organizing Management Events

Nurtur-E – Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of NLDIMSR

Nurtur-E is the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) is a student-driven body of N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research solely to promote and inspire the entrepreneurial spirits among the students. The Institute believes in facilitating the ideas and current start-ups on the campus to help develop them into businesses.

Nurtur-E focuses on providing business knowledge and exposure to the students through seminars, events, debates, competitions, alumni interactions, and interactive sessions with existing Entrepreneurs and Venture Capitalists.

Objectives

•         To inculcate the passion and spirit among students to pursue entrepreneurship

•         To spread knowledge about entrepreneurship through guest lectures, workshops, etc.

•         Identifying unique ideas and providing a platform to budding entrepreneurs

•         To motivate students to develop their start-ups

Events Conducted

1.      Case-a-thon

Case-a-thon is an annual intra-college case study competition organized to challenge to solve a real-life business challenge. 5 Teams presented the topic before two field-expert judges for the competition. Nurtur-E believes that a case study is one of the best apparatus to enhance the knowledge of the business world.

The committee has organized two Case-a-thon events bringing in variant judges and giving an opportunity to the college students.

2.      Podcast Sessions

In 2021, Nurtur-E came up with the initiation of conducting Podcast Sessions. The objective of bringing this initiation was to help aspiring entrepreneurs have the mindset required to start a business. The committee have gathered some eminent speakers who have shared their experiences and shared their instances on how to deal with problems.

3.      Webinars

To help the students improve their learning in a more interactive and topic-specific way, the committee organizes these guest sessions. The guest sessions are not only helpful for students but can also contribute to the teacher’s knowledge and practice.

Business Magazine

Nurtur-E, The Entrepreneurship Cell of NLDIMSR were proud to launch their first annual Business Magazine under the name, “Udyamee: An Idea Today, A Business Tomorrow”.  The theme of the business magazine was “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and it was Volume 1, Issue 1 of 2021.

The magazine tells how India, as a country and in a business world is able to cope up with the pandemic and how it has helped to form various businesses despite the circumstances. The magazine covered topics like Opportunity in Adversity, Women Entrepreneurship, The Unicorn Club – 2020, Stars of Dalmia, etc.
